Welcome to Mamas & Milk NI
Hi, I’m Claire—mum of two, Registered Midwife (12 years), Qualified Breastfeeding Counsellor, and Tongue Tie Practitioner. With five years as a Community Midwife, I’ve supported countless parents through feeding challenges.
Mamas & Milk NI was born from my own experience—navigating breastfeeding struggles, low supply, reflux, and cow’s milk protein allergy with my own babies. I understand how overwhelming feeding can be, and I’m here to provide expert, compassionate, and non-judgmental support, no matter how you choose to feed your little ones.
I’m here to provide a comprehensive range of antenatal and postnatal support, fully customised to meet your unique needs.

As an experienced Midwife, Certified Breastfeeding Counsellor and Tongue-tie Practitioner, I am able to offer a very high standard of infant feeding support.
A Tongue tie assessment consultation will last around 1 hour 30 minutes and includes taking a full pregnancy, birth and feeding history. A feed will be observed, followed by a full assessment of oral anatomy and function.
If tongue tie division is recommended and preferred by you, I can provide onward referral to a private practitioner.
I will work in partnership with you to provide support with any feeding issues and come up with an individualised feeding plan.
Hey Claire, I wanted to send some feedback to say I'm in my 4th week of exclusively breastfeeding my son and thanks to your class it is going really well so far. He's a greedy wee gore so I think he came out as an expert. Your course really helped me be prepared for what to expect from breastfeeding and how to make sure he was getting the correct latch each time. I think if I hadn't of gone to your course I probably would have given up by now, thank you xo
Your course was fantastic and a real help in our journey, although we are still at the beginning of it I feel confident we are able to carry it on.
Where do I begin, Claire is not only an incredible person but her knowledge in breastfeeding and antenatal support is second to none. I had so much trouble with my first baby and ended up pumping for a year. This time round I attended Claire's workshop and had an antenatal visit, I am now 8 months in on my breastfeeding journey. Claire helped me navigate nipple shields, getting the perfect latch and here we are still going strong! Thank you so much.
